Fatih Akin’s “Dirty-Heimatfilm” Soul Kitchen wurde erfolgreich auf diversen (inter-)nationalen Filmfestspielen aufgeführt und konnte auch weltweit das Kinopublikum begeistern. Im Mittelpunkt des in Hamburg gedrehten Films steht der Deutsch-Grieche ‘Zinos’ welcher in einer heruntergewirtschafteten Junk-Food-Kantine mit lustlos angerichtetem Essen die Mägen aber nicht die ‘Seele’ der letzten verbliebenen Gäste füllt. Nach diversen… Rückschlägen kann mit Hilfe eines neuen Kochs ein neugieriges Szenepublikum angelockt werden, welches das erneuerte Ambiente mit Soul Food & Soul Music kennen und lieben lernt. Dies ruft jedoch auch skrupellose Immobilien-spekulanten auf den Plan. Alsbald überschlagen sich die Ereignisse…

Im Rahmen der DVD-Veröffentlichung am 25. August wurde vom Produktionsstudio Corazón International Deutschlandweite eine Release-Tour auf die Beine gestellt. Die SoulBrigada-Crew hat diese Gelegenheit ergriffen um im Ravensburger Club 3-Ton eine Party zu organisieren. Mit Unterstützung von re:tool! aus Stuttgart/Heilbronn und dem Percussionisten Prince Akongo (Ravensburg) ist eine schweißtreibende Nacht vorprogrammiert! Passend zum Motto wird eine eklektische Auswahl an rarer aber auch neuer Musik serviert. Soulmusic ist somit obligatorisch, jedoch soll auch eine große musikalische Bandbreite präsentiert werden: gespielt wird was groovt und eben SOUL hat!

Spinnin’ some funky & soulful Vibez (Rare Groove, Soul, Funk, Disco…) @ 3-Ton Ravensburg. The Fellaz from Kingzblend & Keep It Real Sound groovin at the Main Floor (Gonzales) with nice Reggae & Dancehall Tunes. Special Guest for this evening: Ranking Smo’ outta Leipzig. Dig this!
